Youth Ocean Art Exhibit at Newport Beach Public LibraryMay 11 – July 10, 2020
Newport Beach, CA
Since 2012, Bow Seat’s annual Ocean Awareness Contest has encouraged young people around the world to dive into critical conservation issues—from oil spills and overfishing to plastic pollution and climate change—with a focus on humans’ roles as both problem-makers and solvers. More than 13,000 students from 106 countries and all 50 U.S. states have responded through visual art, writing, film, and music.
The Youth Ocean Art Exhibit at the Newport Beach Public Library will feature award-winning work by young artists concerned about our ocean’s health. The exhibit is a joint effort by Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, Sierra Club Angeles Chapter, Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce and City of Newport Beach.
