The 2021 Bow Seat Yearbook features the the work of our Art, Poetry, Creative Writing, Film, Performing Arts, and Interactive & Multimedia winners of the 2021 Ocean Awareness Contest. Each year, the Contest invites students from around the world to explore the connections between human activities and the health of our blue planet, with a focus on humans’ roles as both problem-makers and solvers.
The pieces featured in this Yearbook address the 2021 Contest theme “Water Rising,” which challenged participants to explore their connection to water and communicates the need to protect this vital resource. These works represent the most inspiring, thoughtful, and provocative of the nearly 6,000 submissions received from 98 countries around the world.
