Since she was young and exploring the tiny creek by her home, Sylvia has always been interested in the natural world and its preservation. An recent graduate of Wellesley College, she hopes to combine literature with climate science to create stories that spur climate action and encourage ocean conservation. She was a Girls Who Invest Scholar, has interned with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the House of Lobkowicz, and will be pursuing a MSt. in Comparative Literature at Oxford. Sylvia has received a Gold Award and a Notable Award from the Ocean Awareness Contest.
