Reflection

During my research on climate activists who are not as well-known, I stumbled upon Ilyess El Kortbi, a 25-year-old Ukrainian climate activist who protests against the use of fossil fuels in the war in Ukraine. My interest in art stems from my desire to raise awareness about the impact of global conflicts. While creating my artwork, I felt a sense of sadness and concern after learning more about the effects of fossil fuels on our future. Through my art, I hope to convey the message that conflicts can have lasting consequences on the environment. To combat climate change, I plan to collaborate with my community by spreading awareness through social media channels like Instagram and YouTube. I feel hopeful about the future when I see activists like Ilyess El Kortbi dedicating their time to improve the environment through their selfless efforts.
