Climate Hero: Eleanor Chen

Reflection
Water is a universal liquid that we all depend on for survival, and it seems that we are not doing enough to preserve it. I was inspired by the multiple clean-up crews that searched the beaches for trash and those who fished them out of the sea. This only motivated me further to spread awareness. Ever since I was young I have done two things, draw and try my best to help the world even if it was picking only a few pieces of garbage or lending a helping hand. I have done many things to make sure that my impact will not be one to forget, I have advocated for awareness as well as made posters in my 8th-grade leadership class. Even though these are pretty small actions, the impact is all that matters to me. With what I am doing, I have gathered many people that stand with me to make change and we are still working together to ensure that we can make a difference. I did not choose any well-known climate hero nor did I choose a large organization. I chose myself. Of course, known climate heroes have risen up and gained notability through their actions but I also want to show that the average person can do something too. Overall, climate heroes have given me hope for what is to come in the near future because they show me that there are indeed many people who can do good for this world.
