Looking at pictures and experiencing what pollution does to the world inspired me to imagine this art. I created this piece to show that pollution is a major problem in this world. There are many types of pollution like air, water, and waste. The air we breathe is filled with smoke that is caused by industrial processors and the many vehicles on the road, and this has a tremendous damaging effect in our lungs. Air pollution from the waste overflow stinks up the air we breathe, making it uncomfortable to breathe. There are oil spills that contaminate the ocean. There are too many unethical companies that dump chemicals causing innocent bystanders of the sea to die. Pollution not only damages the environment surrounding us, but also has a long lasting detrimental effect on our bodies. Our health is directly affected by the pollution and we are all at risk. Learning about how much harm pollution caused, I want to do something about it! Although I am young, I can still be involved in changing the environment. From now on, I want to try to recycle more instead of putting everything in the trash. By recycling, we reduce the amount of waste piled onto the landfills. I can save energy by turning off lights and electronic appliances when I’m not using them. By doing this and sharing these tips with others, it will help reduce pollution. I want to be an active participant on this Earth and preserve the environment.
