Jina Song

16|Seoul, Republic of Korea

Jina is an avid climate journalist, public speaker, and environmental economics advocate. When her neighborhood faced the construction of a major waste incinerator, she led community-based climate justice advocacy through multimedia coverage, local protests, and an international forum with GAIA. Moreover, she has led climate journalism as the Writing Director of Greener Is Cleaner (16K+ impact, Forbes-recognized), her school magazine, the Korea Herald, and the THIMUN MUNITY. Her global journalism—written and on film—has been featured by the NYT, HIR, and ConnectHER. In rural Kyrgyzstan, Jina established an environmental English curriculum to expand climate education.

She also co-founded the EnvoNomics Club, leading projects centered on sustainable, circular economies. As a WWF chapter executive, she partnered with WWF-Korea for international fundraisers and advocacy. Moreover, Jina has led sustainability-centered discourse as an executive and Deputy Secretary-General of South Korea’s largest MUN conference. After living on three continents, Jina is excited to serve in the Future Blue Youth Council to continue amplifying global climate action.
