Ryan Chua

Ryan Daniel Chua is a Singaporean visual artist and climate advocate whose work explores the intersection of environmental grief, beauty, and hope. A 2024 Bow Seat contest awardee and alumni, Ryan channels his passion for creation through Procreate and mixed media, drawing inspiration from his connection to nature and faith.

His advocacy began after witnessing the deforestation of Dover Forest—an ecological loss that occurred just beyond his childhood home. Since then, Ryan has become a dedicated birdwatcher, tidepooler, and scuba diver, using both art and action to speak to the urgency of conservation and collective policy reform.

Ryan’s work is rooted in his Christian belief in stewardship and service. He is passionate about caring for people as much as the planet and will begin his studies in Dentistry in 2026, committed to a life of healing, advocacy, and servanthood.
