Reflection

The effect of the online community on us is powerful. Scrolling on my phone, I learned about pollution, why forest fires were happening, why the ice was melting, and how my actions could make an impact. I've realized how much I could learn through these short, entertaining videos and that inspired me to create this piece. I was especially inspired by a video of Peter Kalmus, featured in my artwork, and his scientist rebellion who advocated for higher authorities to take climate change more seriously. I am hopeful that the more people are aware of what's happening, the more people will work together to solve climate change. I hope to be even more knowledgeable in this subject and continue to post on social media and protect the environment.
