Climate Hero: Agnes Denes
Reflection
Reflection
While creating this work, I was inspired by an art installation by Agnes Denes that brought a very great benefit. It was not only a protest, but thanks to this work, an area of 2 acres was cleared of garbage (before that it was a city dump), and a huge crop of wheat was harvested and divided among 28 countries. With my drawing, I wanted to tell the viewer that we need to appreciate and protect nature, because it gives us the resources necessary for life. You don't need to pollute it. In place of the dumps could be a piece of nature. After all, it is better to be in a sea of wheat, rye and grass than to be buried in a sea of garbage. The actions of my climate hero give rise to hope that in the future, as in the case of this art installation, there will be a piece of nature instead of landfills, and this will not seem unusual, but will look harmonious.
