Reflection
While brainstorming ideas for my artwork submission, I considered the many actions taken in my life and the community around me that work towards helping the environment. I then quickly realized that many of the actions are re-occurring throughout different parts of the world and that one action can often lead to another, and influence others to do the same along the way, like a cycle. This is reflected in my artwork through the illustrations of common ways to improve environmental conditions within a bicycle wheel, as biking is a great way to reduce carbon dioxide in the environment. This visual representation conveys the idea that if we all work together to help the environment, we can create a cycle of change that will bring positive impacts and allow our world to beam with clean blue skies. Through using art to express the value of developing a cycle and norm for change, I hope the audience of my work can understand the impact of small changes in daily life. Helping the climate does not always have to be a huge task, and simple acts such as taking public transportation or recycling properly can go a long way.
