Hurry the ice is melting
Eating away at our various ecosystems
Atmospheric gasses threaten all we love
Reverse these harmful effects
The responsibilities is OURS. Save our heart.

Reflection

This acrostic poem was inspired by what I feel should be what makes our heart heaviest: ongoing damage to our earth. Each line of my poem carefully touches upon a unique aspect of climate change that I think we should focus on. Whether it is global warming and the damage it does to certain animals such as the polar bears, or the harmful greenhouse gasses, there is no doubt that the human race needs to become more aware. We need to become what we are doing to the earth, it’s creatures, and truly fill our HEARTS.
