Two Sides to a Wave

Reflection

My artwork displays two sides of the ocean through a cross section of a crest of a wave. Above the surface, a surfer, carving the stunning curve of a wave, is unaware of the thousands of pieces of discarded items pushed in the ocean and bare ocean floor. Beachgoers need to be vigilant about garbage not mistakenly landing in the water. Without taking action the ocean may never continue to be a colorful underwater world, but rather a colorful underwater world of junk.
