Reflection

Oftentimes when I am home, I look around my room and see the outlets I have that are taking up electricity. I think about where that electricity is coming from, and how it is most likely being produced by an oil power plant miles away from my home. I have been thinking about my contributions to climate change in the world a lot recently, and how it affects the environment in places like the ocean. This year, I began making active attempts to reduce the amount of energy used up in my home. I started going out of the way to unplug most of my electrical devices at night -- TV’s, chargers, lamps, monitors, etc. Though I knew it wasn’t much, I knew I was helping to a degree. Then I remembered another way I could help -- by spreading awareness. That is why I created this video: to help others visualize the awful effects of climate change by telling the sad story of a polar bear who loses his home due to global warming.
