Climate change has been underway, causing increasing extreme weather, a destructive threat to the ocean environment, and ocean farming. But who knew something as simple as a vegetation served on dining tables around the world can help to combat climate change? Seaweed is being planted and harvested in large scales around the world, consumed by humans and animals alike. Not only do they bring a delicatessen of healthy ingredients to the table, they also bring along benefits to the environment, too, such as reducing methane emissions from animal burping and slowing down global warming. Now seaweed is needed more and more as fishermen around the world take up 3D ocean farming practices, which is a new method that is more effective than traditional ocean farming with nets and poles. Do the world a small favor and check out seaweed food to protect our ocean, and start making our blue ocean green.
