Reflection

It all started from a dream. Dreams that occupied the minds of young boys and girls always differed from each individual, so were ours. Although years ago the dream to become a superhero, a doctor, an astronaut, a pop star and an actress varied among us, one thing in particular stayed the same. Between all five of us it was the dream to alter the future with our two hands that became the motivator for our coming together. We wanted to change the future, change the inevitable. Of course at such a young age we wanted to move mountains and swim the seven seas in a second, but as we grew older, we learned that things take time and every little thing matters. Like a problem in a puzzle, you start small, and if you do enough, all the pieces will come together and solve the bigger problem. So why the ocean? Indonesia itself consists of approximately 17,500 islands and many Indonesians are not educated about the effects of their actions; many are clueless about climate change. Fishermen do not know why their supposedly infinite supply of fish are demolishing at a rate we have never expected, or why the corals are turning unnaturally white. We hope that from our video, people will become more aware of how our actions contribute to the wellness of the ocean. Because to change the world, it takes only one change.
