Reflection

I was inspired to create my art and learn more about this issue after noticing more and more jellyfish present during my trips to Hawaii and Florida. I created my artwork, "Overpopulation" , to spread awareness about pollution from fossil fuel combustion, factories, and other human activities causing climate change. Climate change causes an increase in the flagellate population in surface waters and overpopulate jellyfish, destroying the balance of ocean ecosystems worldwide. Now that I've learned about this issue, I will consume less, waste less, buy products from companies with cleaner methods, and continue to spread awareness to encourage others to take action as well.
