Under the sea
The coral gently sways
A safe haven for the fish
Food for the life
And the coral gently sways
A home for all
Beneath the waves
The dolphins explore
Clicking and leaping
Curious to find out
What lies above
their home
In their deep blue home
The whales swim
Rhythmically moving
With the waves
Under the sea
The rays fly
Beautiful and nimble
Ever graceful
The rays fly
In the water
The seals twist and turn
Children of the sea
Forever playing
In the ocean blue
In the vast ocean
The turtles swoop and glide
Letting the waves decide
Where they go
Under the sea
The ocean lives
Waving hello
And goodbye
Reflection
I write poetry because it is a way to show people my emotions without having to say things outright. I think that poetry is something to be cherished. It is an art that many people view as silly or frivolous. I write about animals sometimes because they are beautiful and graceful and they deserve so much more than they get. They are also an art. It has given me hope that people see the wrong and are trying to fix the damage that they have done. Thank you for inspiring me to take action. I really hope that other people will take action, too.
