Reflection
While creating this piece of work, my emotions were scattered. At times, it felt liberating to take action and use my voice to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. During other stages of the creative process, however, I felt disheartened. Every article I opened and statistic I read about climate change took another blow at my already deflated mental state. During times of hardship, the most important thing to do is set an intention. My intention for this project is to spread awareness about the climate crisis at hand, while reminding myself and others that there is still hope. There are steps we can still take to protect the next generations from the consequences of pollution, global warming, and other contributors to the climate emergency. We must remain hopeful, and use that hope to push us towards action.
