The Beat Of Water

(Intro speech by Bruce Lee)

Chorus (Fei)
Can’t go without it, sill taken for granted
Killing our planet
Hiding the panic
Plastic in the waters, ruining the set
Choosing excuses,
ourselves are the threat

Verse 1
our decisions are our own defeat,
Destroying things that make us complete
listening to the sound of waters beat
while watching the world burn down in heat
first the fishes, then the bees
serving dishes, made from a heartbeat
money needs, makes enemies,
free the waters, it needs remedies
one produces, and one consumes,
that’s the difference between you and me
leaking into fuels and wastes
turning amenities, to useless unique

Chorus (Fei)
Can’t go without it, sill taken for granted
Killing our planet
Hiding the panic
Plastic in the waters, ruining the set
Choosing excuses,
ourselves are the threat

Verse 2
not a day goes by without it by our side,
dead and dry
dead and dry
dead and dry
inside, and outside, gives vision before our eyes,
giving life, fostering life, therefore it is life

Reflection
Reflection

The moment I heard Bruce Lee’s speech, I could hear music behind it. It was so calming, but I felt something more eventful could occur after he said the words: be water. I sampled his words at the beginning of my song before the beat drops. I thought about the current devastating situation that has been happening in the oceans. I first thought it was only litter in the water, but upon researching the topic, I learned that the situation is much worse for the people. Although water is a basic human right, many people do not have access to it as a result of pollution. I want to spread a message in my music that it's not too late to save the water. Water is alive, like human beings. I can feel the beat of water.
