Because of the drastic increase of temperatures on Earth, ice caps melt, sea levels rise, and coral bleaching occurs. Coral bleaching is one of the problems that take its toll on marine life, and it has been getting worse over the last few years. Corals are sensitive animals that react to the slightest temperature change in the environment. My artwork represents the marine life in the ocean. At first glance, my artwork portrays a lively ocean with marine animals of vibrant colours. As each page is flipped, marine animals are removed from the artwork, leaving behind a lifeless ocean filled with waste and bleached corals. This shows how human actions affect the lives of marine animals in the ocean. Imagine that you are one of the animals living in the ever so polluted ocean, how could you survive?
