A Fish of Crumbling Hope

Reflection
Everything has two sides—that is what inspired my artwork for this contest. In this drawing, one side represents the hope created through our efforts to be sustainable, while another represents the despair that results from giving up. I was disgusted when I learned about all the ways we were killing our beloved planet. In order to help, I am spreading the word to try harder than ever before to help out and motivate each other to clean the world. I know with perseverance and hard work, we can all solve this issue. My message to the viewers of my artwork is that even if the corals in the seas are crumbling down, even if mountains of plastic are being dumped into the oceans, even if the air is horrible to the point that animals get sick, we must not lose hope and do our best to change the environment for the better. Everything helps, from turning off the light you usually keep on, to picking up trash from beaches. I have hope that if one person influences a friend, and that friend tells another, we can get more and more people to participate. So please, try your very best to help salvage the crumbling pieces of our planet, then rebuild it together to create a better future. If we all work diligently, we may save our planet. We can do this.
