Reflection

As I was scrolling through my photo album one day, I accidentally stumbled upon a picture from 2016, of a six-year-old me enjoying a sunny day in front of a waterfall. I vividly remember my mother telling me back then that the water was so clean that I would be able to drink and bathe in it. Fast forward to today, it's nearly impossible to find clean and natural water that you can drink. Reflecting on this memory today, I realized how much damage the environment has endured during these eight years, especially due to climate change. I can still remember the moment when I was five, and used to doodle on paper tablecloths with the free crayons that restaurants gave out. This sparked my passion for art and became an outlet for my creativity. As an introvert who did not socialize with others often, art provided a method of communication and a way to socialize. Furthermore, the pristine waterfall in the picture contrasts sharply with the reality of polluted water today. This serves as a poignant reminder of our now lack natural resources. The phone in the image represents the evolving technology our modern world explores, while the polluted water highlights the stark contrast between the past and present environmental conditions.
