White, tuft of fluffy fur, glistening in the arctic breeze, now to
make his march, open mouth and eyes searching for a meal
but none is found, since multiyear sea ice refuses to stick around, and coastal erosion has made
less ground, there’s no snack in sight to subdue the ever clawing, ever gnawing craving for a seal
to tide him over, —
Forget it, change of habit, need to learn to nab it because of starvation he’s not a fan
So turn to a garbage can, eating leftovers from some Russian man, who didn’t want to finish his
can of Spam because why finish it, I don’t want it-
Spam has 174 calories. Polar bears need 12,000 calories a day-
Leaving the arctic just to find a meal, not enough to sustain these animals who feel
Utterly alone, not enough food left in their home, looking for the chance that maybe there’s-
No
Nothing but ice,
and then the lack thereof, land shrinking by the massives unseen by the masses that
add to the practice of lack of life, and not enough sea ice,
leads to a loss of dinner, since as the ice gets thinner, for polar bears does it hinder hunting for
their kin, and
Ice stops forming, you can thank global warming
Thousands of scientists squirming after countless confirming,
What more do you need
Look at these bears, it’s like you really don’t care
Instead of food being thought about in whens and wheres, you’re scared about the empty tank of
gas for your Ram 1500-gas guzzler by the way, 20MPG
Waste of resource
throwing away without remorse
no care because life has run its course, the older generation saying
so why should I care, I’ll soon be in a hearse.
Think of a world without polar bears. Sad, isn’t it? Here’s the deal:
If we learn to mitigate so the arctic can repopulate at a rapid rate to eliminate declining sea ice
and seals and not exacerbate the situation, to get every nation in every location to consider the
possible complete extermination these animals face, we can make a creation for a permanent
place. Busses and walking or even just talking about issues that just end up blocking success, like
that politics are all a mess, and not caring about the Earth is not the best, can help support the rest
to try to fix the pest that harms us all. Politics can change the laws to help support a better cause
because if we sit and vote for blahs who don’t care about the Earth’s hurrahs then we lose all the
beauty just like that.
Be sure to vote A S A P to help polar bears get where they need to be to keep this image alive
and free and show our children that we can do anything.

Reflection
Reflection
I chose polar bears for the focus of my piece because while researching, I saw pictures of the lives that polar bears are currently enduring and how many are underweight and having to dig around in trash cans like raccoons. I wrote this piece because I wanted to bring light on to this issue and try to help others see that an animal that is so iconic in the animal kingdom is suffering so horribly.
