Reflection

Growing up partially in Berlin has profoundly shaped my worldview. I strongly believe in the interconnectedness we all share as human beings: our actions inspire others, and vice versa. This belief has driven me to attend various protests, start our school’s Art and Climate Club, and raise awareness about global warming. My commitment to collective action fuels my efforts, and I believe that once the first step is taken, others will join in on the journey. This trust in people's concern for global warming is the driving force behind my current climate advocacy, which I aimed to capture in "Around the Brandenburg Gate." The power of the individuals around me (illustrated by the protestors in my piece) inspired me deeply to keep moving forward using art and my devotion to actions. It is through continuous efforts that others will follow and stand united. Ultimately, I want viewers to see my piece as a beacon of hope and a testament to the potential of collective action. Everyone in my artwork is united by a common purpose—climate advocacy—despite their diverse backgrounds and lives. My initial step brought them together, and in the future, it can be yours too.
