Reflection

I made this piece of art so that people can understand how much danger we put whales in. I was inspired by all the images of ocean garbage images I found online. That inspired my trash part of my piece: the garbage is shaped as a monster with big teeth. It represents how garbage affects whales. The rest was all basically my imagination. Through the process, I learned that the ocean is not a dump. The more whales eat the trash, the more that will die. We should not endanger these precious, magnificent creatures; they deserve a better life. Our whole ocean ecosystem depends on the whales. It would change the whole food chain. We are responsible for these whales if they live or die. People would rather be responsible for helping them, right? If we take a look at the garbage in the sea, and if everyone took at least one piece out a day, then it would make a huge difference. These whales are our friends; we should not harm them. Now that I know how much we affect whales, if I see ocean trash I will pick it up. I will never, ever throw or watch someone throw garbage in the ocean. This project has truly helped me learn the importance of whales and how much trash is in the ocean.
