My creative process began with analyzing the message conveyed in the promotional text about the film "CHOKING." I aimed to capture the urgency and impact of plastic pollution on our planet while encouraging sustainable actions. Drawing from the theme of the Ocean Awareness Contest, "Tell Your Climate Story," I wanted to evoke a sense of empathy and responsibility in viewers. Inspiration stemmed from the powerful imagery of struggling to breathe due to plastic pollution, paralleling it with the Earth's plight. Throughout the creation, I felt a mix of emotions – from concern for our planet's future to hope sparked by the potential for positive change through collective action. My message to viewers is one of empowerment: Each individual's choices, no matter how small, contribute to the larger movement towards environmental sustainability. Research on climate change has deepened my understanding of its multifaceted impacts, from rising sea levels to biodiversity loss. Collective action is essential in addressing climate change, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and collaboration towards a healthier planet.
