Me, I love the water. The three cities I lived in are by three different seas; although I have not experienced drought, I collect water in buckets and basins; sometimes I spill water when nobody is watching, hoping that a bit of heat of vaporization will cool the Earth. From rain, I hide only glasses – take them off and fold into a pocket, so that they will be crystal clear without water wasted for another spectacle laundering. I love seeing the mosses unfurl, smelling, and zooming, closing in, infinitely. Life is so beautiful. I love the water, and I love the lenses of light. I live greedily, letting my food die and my pollution kill some more unseen beautiful things. Acrylic paint washes into the ocean to become microplastics. I tried not to let any paint left over dry, by using the inside of a lunchbox lid as palette and always closing the box with water inside when not in use. If a painter reads this, please do so, too!
