My artwork shows what would happen in the future if we people didn’t stop polluting the air and the water. Since the carbon in the air thickens up the atmosphere causing the greenhouse gases to heat the earth up, in the end all the ice would start melting and all the polar bears in the environment would drown. In my art piece, it shows red tentacles grabbing onto the polar bears which drags them down and drowns them. The tentacles represent all the horrible chemicals that are causing the ice to melt and killing the helpless animals. Not only would this affect the animals, it would also harm us humans and our food and water sources. The items people are throwing into the ocean will kill many fish and ocean life which would be very harmful to our food source which we need in order to survive. In the glass bottle, it shows factories producing harmful smoke which drags down one of the polar bears. Most of the garbage that is being littered are products that can be recycled and repurposed into other products, and we should burn less fossil fuel which creates awful smoke that also taints the air and oxygen as shown in the background of my art piece.
