Echoes of Nature: The Fabric of Hope in Our Hands

I found inspiration from the enchanting lines of ancient poems praising the beauty of nature from thousands of years ago, "A river of green water, green mountains on both banks." However, it is heartbreaking to see nowadays reality, especially in our bustling city, where water pollution and ecological degradation have become so prevalent. I have seen the term "sewage treatment" in public service advertisements on various social media since childhood, but I have always been confused and had no genuine concept of it. It was not until one time that I participated in a public community service program for water pollution control in my hometown, Hangzhou. I was a representative student of my primary school. From the public service advertisement, I saw that the forest was being cut down, just like a big tear on clothing. The river is polluted, just like fabric stained with stains that cannot be washed off. Land desertification is like clothes that are full of holes.  Through this eye-opening experience, I witnessed a beautiful awakening in my community. We came together to make real changes, such as establishing a complete detection system and restoring the self-purification process of water bodies. Everyone's strength is like a pair of "huge hands" holding green silk threads, weaving across the land. Alongside dried-up rivers, we gently restore their channels with blue silk threads, allowing the clear water to flow freely once again. And what about the once barren hillsides? Lush plants thrive once again!
