Reflection
More and more news about ocean has emerged in recent years. Turtles trapped in a plastic bags, marine species gradually disappearing, and more. Ocean pollution has become a worldwide problem. I felt sympathy for the marine animals while drawing, thinking of what they would face under these circumstances. In my artwork, the woman at the top right represents a goddess blowing water to the Earth. Initially, the water was clear and the fish inside were healthy. After it passed through the Earth, the water gradually turned grey and dirty. There are only fish bones, injured animals, and plastic in the water. People on the Earth are called on to save water. The left side contains the desert and a dead tree. I want to show that animals also have right to survive. If we don’t put our words into practice and generate less pollution the condition will continue to degrade which will be harmful for animals and humans. In order to conserve resources, I plan to constantly think about this topic and draw more art encouraging people to sustain water. I have created a series of art works about saving animals since last year to constitute a brochure that I will share with my classmates to raise awareness.
