Reflection
Writing, illustrating, designing, and organizing this project was an emotional experience for me. Bringing love and hope into such a scary crisis was a beautiful process. Along with positivity, humour is an integral element of expression and teaching, making a message more memorable. In my book, I wanted to take a satirical approach and draw parallels between the human world of fast fashion and fast food and the underwater world, representing how our toxic and dangerous trends and behaviours seep into aquatic ecosystems. Humans are controlling the future of this planet, and I drew from this reality as I created my project. Although I am still beginning my life journey, I know without a doubt that I will dedicate my work to bettering the planet, for the good of every living thing that calls it home.
