future glaciers

Project Description: The project has designed an ecological service system based on future problems, which provides energy through wind power to transport the ablated seawater into the machine, purifies the seawater by condensation, converts the purified water into ice, and then transports it to the glacier waters to maintain the survival of polar animals such as polar bears. Due to climate change such as global warming and the deterioration of the earth’s environment, the number of glaciers in the North and South Polar Regions is decreasing, and the rate of melting continues to accelerate. Judging by the current trend, glaciers will no longer exist in the future, and at that time, the survival and protection of polar animals will become a serious problem.

Reflection
The idea of the whole project came about because I learned that the greenhouse effect and the destruction of nature and climate by uncontrolled human behavior would lead to the melting of glaciers and the loss of homes for polar bears, penguins, and other animals, and I felt very heartbroken, and I hoped that I could inspire more people to get involved in environmental protection, ocean conservation, and polar animal conservation. After thinking about it for a long time, I think a visual representation of what the ocean might look like in the future would be more likely to strike a chord in people's hearts and make them realize that it is imperative to protect the marine environment. After conducting in-depth study and research, I designed a circulation system to save glaciers in the future based on the current technology. It is very large, so in order to test the feasibility, I scaled down the whole system and simulated it with some similar products and materials, and realized the system's operation through electric power. I made a video of how this future glacier saving system works, and in the future, if possible, I would like to improve the system and make a bigger model to show it, so that more viewers can see my hypothetical future glacier saving scenario and think about how their own behaviors can be improved in order to protect the oceans and glaciers from such a pathetic future.
