Reflection

We discussed how to express global warming issues, such as melting glaciers, pollution, and animal extinction—the solution we came up with was cooking curry. It seems like a mismatch and a strange way to express global warming. We start by creating the ingredients. We expressed these ingredients as if they were made from garbage like plastic or garbage bags. In addition, a big cube of ice is put in the pan and is heated to prepare water for the curry we are cooking. This represents the melting glaciers. After that, spices, which are labeled “CO2,” are added. Finally, the delicious curry is ready. At the end of the video, we ask the audience the question, “Are you happy with this delicious curry?” Then quickly flip the message to a more serious tone by asking, “But… at what expense?” In this video, there is a key theme: that we humans are destroying the earth through our actions just for the sake of our greed.
