Reflection

The death of corals is very detrimental to the ocean environment and is something that my partner and I feel very strongly about. Corals have always been of interest to me and my partner, we have created a song about our thoughts on how to stop coral bleaching. The song includes factual information about how corals are doing today on how we can help prevent them from further bleaching. We put a lot of time into the lyrics and making them flow well and still be able to convey a strong and meaningful resolution. We used our research papers we constructed with our teacher Melanie Stier to guide us in the construction of our song. Strategically we chose a rap song to use as a platform for our project, in my opinion creating a catchy song creates buzz and if the buzz is about climate change then the message will be passed along quite efficiently. I've learned that if we continue to treat our oceans as poorly as we are currently we will have less and less of these beautiful oceanic structures.
