Living in a developing country like Indonesia made me realize that people are so greedy when it comes to money. They will do everything to get the maximum result of nature’s exploitation. But they don’t think about its side effects. How it could ruin the stability of the ecosystem and lives of many endangered species – which is a lot in my exotic country.

Since my city is near the ocean, it’s a usual thing for the citizens to see the use of the sea bomb which can harm a lot of small fishes, free littering that would made the beach so dirty, and also the disruption of the coral reefs. But not everyone have that kind of dirty mindset. We always have hope. And a lot of time, the youngsters are the hope. So me and my friend make an organization called Cyber Nature Education (you can see it on YouTube, too!) where we make animation videos to educate the citizens but also clean beaches and lots of places in the city and create green movement in the city with the mayor.

However, “Hello, Ocean!” is a video that I made personally that captures most of the people’s life here. They all first live in the slums with really bad condition. Then they immigrate to a better place (e.g: the beach) that gives them better life. Then they’re blinded and did a lot of destruction for their own wealth. But actually, they’re not a bad person. They just lack education and needs more information. Since they came from a low class environment. All we have to do is to light up the hope inside every one of us and spread the word.
