How Big is Your Footprint?

Reflection

The art piece I created, represents people’s impact on ocean life. The garbage and trash we use every day can end up going into our oceans and it should be our responsibility to clean up and protect our oceans. If we don’t care about the trash we produce, it will potentially destroy ocean-life. We all need to do our part and pitch in to reduce the amount of garbage that is put into the environment. Recently, I visited a sea turtle sanctuary with my family where I learned about how plastic, like drinking straws, grocery bags and other materials hurt sea life. My family has decided to give up plastic straws to help fix this issue. I hope every person takes a moment to consider the package, the plastic, and the garbage they produce and ask themselves ‘is there a better option’?
