Reflection

Climate change makes me feel scared - a sense of foreboding about the future. When building my piece, I decided to use music from the reflective genre of Purple Planet music in an attempt to communicate this feeling. The song is called End of Days, and offers a sense of contemplation that I connected with. I think even the title of the song fits, because our days are numbered if we don’t take action to protect our oceans. Through my film, I tried to convey a call to action by explaining the integral role of the oceans to all of our lives and, in turn, our personal responsibility to protect it. I used some recent ocean-related events caused by climate change to show that we can even see effects now. I hope that my video makes others as concerned about climate change as I am and empowers them to act.
