Reflection

During quarantine, I had begun to go outside more frequently and take frequent walks during breaks from classes. By taking these walks, it allowed me to finally garner an appreciation and love of nature. I wanted to depict nature almost as if it was calling to me: beckoning me outside and even breaking boundaries as shown by the vibrant forest fading through the brick wall.I decided to use pastels due to the wide range of bright colors available to me which allowed me to really make the outside portion of the work stand out when put next to the dark black room.
