Reflection

I decided on Sir David Attenborough as the focus of my piece as I have fond childhood memories of listening to his wildlife documentaries when I was younger. Sir David Attenborough has inspired me to be more conscious about how my actions impact the environment and also taught me to love nature. To make this art piece, I first gathered reference photos for each layer on google, and layered them on top of each other on procreate. I printed out the reference I made on procreate, and transferred the image onto a sheet of paper. I then painted each of the layers with gouache, starting from the outermost layer which is the butterfly portion.
