Reflection

Not too long ago I was seating on a beach close to where I live, I was watching one of the stunning performances of the world, sunsets are my favorite kind of “light show” that time I couldn’t help but notice a change in the way the ocean looked. It was darker, it felt emptier, and it was surely not the same. The following day I was told an oil spill had occurred, the beautiful beach had become a pitch black painting of death. I made my painting because I felt angry towards humanity, oil spills make me ashamed of being human and not being able to ask animals for their forgives pains me. The world was here before us, we have have taken the word “intrusion” to a whole new level, it’s time for a change. I used oil paint and dark colors to recreate what I felt when the sunset changed.
