Ocean Pollution Interviews

Reflection

Since I was about four, I have had an extreme love of the ocean, and wanted to be a conservation biologist most of my life. I was born with an affinity for the ocean, and the alluring creatures it possesses. This project helped reopen my eyes to how fragile the ocean truly is, and let me have an opportunity to teach and inform others on the changes and reforms that need to be made to protect it. Seeing the light that shone in the kids’ eyes when they talked about their favorite sea animals, and the adults’ eyes when they talked about their favorite ocean memories was inspiring. After the camera was turned off, almost all of the participants came up to me afterwards to talk about how baffled they were by the information I told them about pollution.
