Reflection

Our oceans are home to a vast number of species, some of which we have not even discovered yet. They have worked together and created a delicate balance that kept our watery biome flourishing since the birth of our planet. However, we humans, blinded by our desire to grow, are poisoning the waters and its inhabitants. If we do not reflect upon our deeds and find a way to revive our dying oceans now, it will be too late. Our great bodies of water will still exist, but they would no longer be oceans. They would be empty shells of what once was, and the only way to catch a glimpse of the lives that used to fill that world would be in glass jars completely devoid of ocean. If we, as humans, recognize the urgent need for changes, all may not be lost. Through our efforts to protect and preserve, we can save our oceans. As Jane Goodall once said, "There's still a lot left worth fighting for."
