Reflection

I enjoy using both writing and drawing as forms of self expression. They can describe an image within a few swipes of a paintbrush, or a few lines of text. For centuries, these forms of art have danced throughout history, used to express emotion, to educate its viewers, and to tell a story. Arguably the most powerful stories were a combination of all three. In more recent times, learning has moved to a digital platform, allowing many people to gain information online. Information is hard to grasp in the form of a fact or statistic, and as a result, many people struggle to understand the need for change within the topic of ocean health. I strongly believe that one of the best ways to convey a message is through one of the oldest forms of expression - art. This is why I created Our Promise, with the hopes of educating people through the integration of writing and drawing onto an online platform.
