As we all know, the continuous increase of carbon dioxide has brought destructive effects to the ocean. Its impacts to the Earth are mainly represented in ocean and climate. Here are three main impacts: 1.The temperature of the Earth’s surface is increasing continuously, glaciers in the south and north poles are melting, lands are diminishing as the sea level keeps rising. 2.The carbon dioxide in the atmosphere keeps dissolving in the ocean, thus ocean acidification is caused. The ocean ecosystem will eventually be destroyed. 3.The increasing temperature causes seawater to evaporate faster, resulting in a larger temperature difference. Extreme weather events such as hurricanes and droughts are becoming more and more frequent. Long ago, humans learned that increased carbon dioxide damages ocean and climate. People have been calling to “reduce pollution, protect the earth”, in fact, the situation hasn't been improved. Therefore, I designed a device called Photosynthesis Honeycomb Device (abbr.PHD). The PHD could simulate photosynthesis; it absorbs the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converts it into oxygen and water. Its strong central processor would balance the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. That way, the melting of glaciers, increasing temperature and ocean acidification would all be stopped. The PHD is an automatic modular machine that floats in the atmosphere. It could expand or shrink if needed. It is also a floating supplementary station, which provides oxygen, water and other new energy back to the Earth, enabling spacecrafts to reach further planets in the universe. I have a strong belief, PHD, as a Environmental smart device, will be soon float in the sky, to save the ocean and climate!
