Poison Fuel
Liliana Teodora Nicut
Ramnicu Valcea, Romania
2020, Senior, Art (2014 – 2023)
Reflection

I started making "Poison Fuel" as a response to the numerous oil spills that have happened over the years and that, sadly, are still happening. I used watercolour and ink as medium as they are both water based and, in my opinion, are best fit for a marine subject. Oceans are so polluted by all our waste, plastic, oil spills, etc., and I think everyone should be interested in keeping them clean as we depend on water to survive. I think people should search for renewable resources and focus on fossil fuels less to help end our climate crisis. I hope my art raises awareness and adds to the effort of making our planet a better place for life, as it used to be.
