Project Description: Please use the link and read the short description for the game. The game is played as a web browser tab, so no downloading is necessary. For computer users: You can interact with the buttons on screen by clicking them with the left mouse. Dialogues can be clicked anywhere on the screen to proceed. Clicking on the map lets your character walk towards the area you clicked, and clicking on a specific item allows you to interact with it. When swimming in water, click the area under the arrow to proceed. Click and hold on the final screen to interact with buttons. For mobile users: (please note, performance may not be optimal and it is recommended that you play on PC for the best experience) Tap on screen to interact with buttons and proceed with dialogue. Tap once and again on the final screen to interact with buttons. Notes: This is a heavily story-dialogue based game, with CGs and real photos that are displayed with text. Interaction occurs on the “information” page.

Anime-style character promotes recycling, reducing plastic waste, and minimizing energy use. Icons of recycling, crossed-out plastic bottles, and a light bulb emphasize environmental actions. A snowy landscape with a tent, several rocks, and a snowman. A dialogue box at the bottom contains text, and a character named "Kuma" stands in the foreground. A graphic with a bike, bus, sun, and solar panel, showing tips for being climate-friendly by reducing emissions and conserving energy. A top-down view of a room with shelves, tables, and chairs. A dialogue box reads, "Please sit at your seat! Hint: It is the one with a polar bear plushie.

Reflection
Reflection

The process of creating my interactive game felt surreal, since video games were a huge inspiration for me growing up. It was hard to imagine that *I* would ever be the one behind the screen, making games for other people to enjoy, when I have always been on the receiving end. But when I sat down and opened my video game-making engine, I realized that nothing is impossible and you should always take a chance. It was my first time making an RPG video game, so I ran into many obstacles, but I persevered through countless hours of YouTube videos, asking video game creation forums, etc. and I could not be more proud of how far both my game and I have come. My message to viewers of my work is to not only raise awareness, but also allow viewers to see my experiences of the things that I've done for fighting climate change. I made my project playable in web browsers so my friends and family could easily access the game to play it so its both easily sharable and accessible. After doing research on climate change, I've learned that addressing climate change requires a multifaceted approach. Individual effort is necessary to make progress but community efforts are needed to make real change, and I'm glad that my research was able to go towards my project.
