I have learned that the sea level is rising because the oceans are absorbing atmospheric heat associated with emissions from human activity. Unfortunately, ocean and atmospheric warming will continuously increase sea levels. It could eventually inundate our infrastructure and urban atmosphere that we have built for our lives. Sea level rise could place most coastal cities underwater. In order to prevent this catastrophic future, we must stop releasing emissions into our atmosphere. We must confront this issue as a realistic and feasible problem that will impact our daily life.
