Reflection

Creating art is a fantastic way to express my feelings, beliefs, and hopes, so I created this piece to communicate to others about the impacts of climate change. Although climate change is a serious problem, it does not always have to be addressed in a serious manner. Sometimes, utilizing positivity, humor, and irony can make communicating difficult topics easier. I used Santa, someone with many positive associations, to portray the effects of climate change in a comical, ironic, and lighthearted way; I depict how the rising sea temperatures are affecting Santa and his Christmas delivery routes.
