Reflection

I was inspired by how we all contribute to climate change through routine habits without even realizing it, in addition to how apathy and indifference play significant roles in climate change. The individual in my piece represents those who are indifferent to the current climate crisis and refuse to change habits that are harmful to the environment. Throughout my exploration of this theme, I have realized that many people now view climate change as a political issue instead of as a fundamental crisis that will eventually lead to the extinction of our species if left unaddressed. These individuals seem more swept up in the politics of the situation and undermine the facts and evidence that are clearly presented. The absurdity of it is beyond words. I am hoping that my work will remind everyone to rethink how our most common daily routine can impact the climate and what we all can do the rectify that.
